Atharva Aalok

I am a second year MS student in AeroAstro at Stanford University working with Prof. Juan J. Alonso at the Aerospace Design Lab. I also collaborate with Prof. Anima Anandkumar's' group at Caltech. Previously, I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Aerospace engineering at IIT Madras where I worked with Prof. R.I. Sujith.

I am passionate about computational design optimization focussing on aircraft design. In particular, methods accelerated using Machine Learning. I work on the full shape optimization stack:

1. Representation: Developed the first non-self-intersecting geometry representation scheme: Neural Injective Geometry.
2. Evaluation: Physics based ML (Neural Operators etc.) for flow evaluation.
3. Optimization: Adjoint-based optimization, DeepRL optimization.

NOTE: I am applying for graduate school for Fall 2026 admit.
